It's about time we give you all another update on the goings on at camp dubz...
May brought us down through Canberra, Sydney and Wollongong to play the Prog Fest 2009 tour and a show in the 'Gong which was a first for us. Prog Fest was an absolute thrill for us to re-unite with friends
Ne Obliviscaris,
Mushroom Giant and
Eleventh He Reaches London for shows at The Basement in Canberra and The Annandale Hotel in Sydney. Big thanks to the 23+ bands involved and organisers
The Bird's Robe Collective, OzProg.com, Welkin Entertainment, The Basement and
The Annandale.
Wollongong we froze our arses off, but were surprisingly welcomed by a huge crowd. We thank everyone who came out to support us!
Tim Charles from Melbourne's Ne Obliviscaris hits the stage with us for some violin action in Sydney's Prog Fest 2009:
June also gave us the chance to finally play with friends from across the border
These Hands Could Separate The Sky (featuring new guitarist from Lakes of Russia). Along with our favourites
Space Project and our first time sharing the stage with locals
Bare Arms at Newtown's Sando.
We have some upcoming shows over the next couple of months in Sydney and are delighted to be invited as main support for
Signal Hill's Sydney leg of their Australian tour.
We are also very excited to be joining
Panzer Queen, one of Sydney's newest and most promising post-rock outfits in launching their debut EP at the
Excelsior Hotel in Surry Hills.
Valar are also on the bill so be sure to check this one out...
Finally in August,
Jericco will embrace Sydney with their uniquely awesome heavy progressive sound and will be joined by the recently re-formed
Endusk and ourselves.

Tom has been brushing up on his Mandarin and has recently done a mammoth interview for China's
Fei-Yin-Yue Magazine, a translation can be found on our forums at

Tour wise, we have had a lot of demand to get across to Western Australia which we are in the process of planning at the moment and will hopefully (pending the state of the smw wallets) have an announcement regarding this within the next couple of months. Visits to Melbourne, Brisbane and potentially a tour of New Zealand are also on the horizon so watch this space! (if anyone in NZ can help us out, let us know!)
We have also begun early pre-production for our next release(s). No details on this as yet as it's all a seeeeecret at this stage ;)
So that's it for now... I can't believe it has been nearly 2 years since I've posted a myspace blog *phew*.
See you all soon!
Much Love,
Kid & sleepmakeswaves
