Current mood:  anxious

Hello friends!

It's Sarah The Intern, once again.  We just got back from Austin.  It was a pretty interesting trip.  Well, Davis's methane gases were the most interesting part.  But I'll get back to that later.

I should have ridden my bike to Frank's house to meet up and leave, but I was wearing a brand new shirt and I didn't want it to get too sweaty.  So I just got Frank to pick me up.  Blah blah blah.

On the ride to Austin we made our regular stop at Bucees.  I got a Coke and Reeses Pieces of course.  Jessica had to make a tough decision between Wasabi peanuts or a "Sweet Energy" trail mix.  I think she should've gotten the peanuts, but she made the horrible decision of buying the sweet energy.  She ended up eating too much sweet energy and didn't feel too well for the rest of the ride and some of the night.

We made it to Momo's safely and loaded shit in and set up and whatnot.  The crowd was practically non-existent.   But apparently a bunch of people went to Dallas for the UT vs. OU game (laaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaame).  Oh and also Sonic Youth was playing that night, so that didn't help.

The opening bands were pretty good.  One of the bands had a saxophone and it brought back my love for the sax. Mmmmmmm.

A lot of our friends met up with us and watched the show.  Davis's brothers and dad showed up.  It was nice meeting them.  It was Adam's birthday so that made it even more fun.  Davis's dad has a kickass style.  He has a Fu-Manchu and a "pomp".  Very rockabilly.

Donna, Jessica's old roommate showed up as well.  It's always nice to chit chat and joke with her.  She's super funny, but, of COURSE, not as funny as me.  But close…Skyblue72 did a super fantastic set.  Jessica was hitting those damn drums so hard that the floor tom tom tipped over, the snare nearly fell, and one of the cymbals got crooked.

The show was awesome.  Definitely in the "top 5".  Or "top 8".  Haha.

After the show and packing up etc, Frank, Davis and I went to Adam's house to continue the fun, and Jessica went to Donna's house.  There wasn't any wrestling or boxing this time, but worse.  Me in a debate with some dude, Lance actually.  We were arguing about Feminism and it got really heated, but decided to agree to disagree.  And made up.

I had some fabulous Canadian whiskey.  Mist I think it's called.  It was very smooth.  Even though I like that burning feeling as the whiskey goes down my throat.  Ohh yesss.

Eventually we got to bed, around 7 am.  Davis fell asleep in the backyard on a lawn chair, Frank got to sleep on a real bed, I think, and I got to share a sofa with Lance.  Ha.  He passed out sitting so I just put my feet on his lap to sleep.  Then he eventually woke up and wanted to lie down too, so he rested his head on my ass, with a pillow though.  The last time someone slept on my ass was…. Well.  A bad experience, including smelly blankets with pubes on them.  And a shitty omelet…  I kinda felt bad for him though, because I don't have much of an ass so it couldn't have been that comfortable, so that's probably why he used a pillow.

Frank, Davis, and I had breakfast at La Madeleine.  I had a fabulous crepe.  Frank wasn't happy with his roast beef sandwich because it was too salty.  He complained about it so they gave him a turkey sandwich for free, but it was also too salty.  So Davis and I ate it.  Damn, this must be boring to read.  Maybe I should just make shit up and pretend it happened.  "It might be wrong, but it's right.  That's my motto" as Edie (from AbFab) would say.  I love that show.  Patsy is my idol.

Anywho, after that mediocre meal we met up with Jessica and Donna to pick up JZ.  They were shopping and taking a bit long and we really needed to go.  So Frank sent me into the clothing store to expedite the process.  When I walked in-  it was AMAZING.  And at that first second, I could totally understand why she was spending so much time in there.  They had amazing shoes, boots, jewelry, belts, and dresses!  Oh the dresses were fabulous!  JZ bought two really pretty ones.  I found a dress I liked and was a little tempted to try it on, but to noooo, we had to go.  Next time, next time.

Now I'm not sure what Davis ate to make him so incredibly gassy, but it must've been something bad.  He farted at least 4 times on the ride back, and keep in mind, this van is SPACIOUS, but he was still able to fill the van with the awful, AWFUL stench.  It was horrible.  Now, I've had plenty of experience with farts, and other things related.  Granted, I love to fart, and I love talking about farts, and drawing them, BUT these farts were lethal.  Definitely lethal.  We had to open the windows every time to air it out.  Some of the times I had to lean out the passenger window to breathe fresh air.  Davis claims that when leaving Austin, he gets gassy.  I think that's bullshit.  I think he's just dangerously gassy.  It was horrible!  Horrible I tell you!  I fart all the time, and I'm around farts a lot, but I have never, NEVER smelled a fart THAT BAD.  Ugh, just brutal.

Yep.  Brutal.

Alright, I think that's pretty much it.  If not, I'm sure Davis, or Jess, or Frank will mention something.

Now I have to get ready for the skyblue72/Patrice Pike show at RUDYARDS tonight.  Kick ass!!!!!

p.s. I'm thinking about being a dead (and gory) celebrity or historical figure for Halloween, any ideas???  Oh, and the part about Davis farting a lot is TRUE.  Watch out for his ass.

Sarah
