We spent Christmas night holed up in the practice space out in Brooklyn getting ready for our studio time this weekend, can't think of any place I would have rather been! The usually hustling and bustling glamorous Williamsburg is a ghost town since everyone who lives there isn't really from NYC and go home to Indiana or wherever they're from so it felt like old Brooklyn again! As much as I was glad to get out of NYC, it's fun coming back here and getting to play fast unruly music with William, so this xmas time gathering has been great.

The tracks for the new LP and split single have come together nicely- it's good to get some of these riffs out of my head. Some of them have been kicking around in there for 4 or 5 years.... one of the new songs we're recording I remember having the riff come into my head as I was walking to a public health clinic in Crown Heights and wondering if I'd make it there alive. I did, and it was a grim scene when I got there, good riff came out if it too! Another song we're doing was inspired by a violent and vivid dream I had while sleeping in the van during our Japanese tour, so anyways, it's cool to see this stuff come to fruition.

The plans to have the "Reflect The Filth" record and Battletorn book out by the 5 year anniversary show in February seemed a bit rushed, so it will probably realistically come out around March or April. Keep an ear to the ground, and we'll drop it as soon as we can!
