I Surrender All
Hey Friends and Family,
It's been a minute since I have written to all of you!!! I wish I could write to you more often, but life happens. As most of you know I have been out of work for eight months, longer than I ever expected I would be. I have done everything within my power I can think of, I apply for jobs every day ( that is a full time job), I seek our referrals, I try and live right, but out of all the work I have done, I have not yet to see the fruits of my labor. Key word – YET. Well as bills begin to stack up and money becomes less and less to non existent, one cannot help but to worry a bit, but a good friend of mine shared some passages with me, that renewed me and encouraged me to keep faith that God has not forgotten about me! I figured I would share with you all, especially with an uncertain economy people are losing their jobs, foreclosing on homes, or whatever the situation may be, we tend to turn to worrying, especially if the situation hasn't changed and doesn't look like it is going to get better anytime soon. But I challenge you to trust God!
Read Luke 12:22-34 and Luke 11:9-10 and then pray:
Dear Most Holy and Gracious Father,
I am excited about today! Something good is going to happen to me today because of the favor you have given me in my life. Thank you that even though I do not always do what you say that your grace and mercy continues to follow me every single day. God, your favor will cause people to see something special in me, something that enables me to shine above the rest. That favor helps to me to defeat the odds in everyday life. I am an overcomer. This problem did not come to stay, it came to pass! I know that no weapon formed against me can prosper. (Isaiah 54:17). God is fighting my battles and you said in your word that if you will take care of the birds and flowers then you will certainly take care of me! (Luke 12:24). I will from this day forward trust that you are in control. New doors of opportunity are opening. I am going to rise to new heights! I am well able to fulfill my destiny. The physical realm tells us "you have to see to believe," but your word says BELIEVING IS SEEING. If we have the faith the size of a mustard seed we can tell a mountain to move (Matthew 17:20). Therefore, I will no longer dwell on the negatives of my current situation, but from this day forward I will "call the things that are not as if they already were" (Romans 4:17). I am strong! I am prosperous. I am the head and not the tail. I am confident; I am called. I am anointed. I am creative. I am talented. Your ways will always work for the good of those who love the Lord (Romans 8:28). Today I surrender all to you God! I will no longer worry about the outcome, but will just know that when I put you first, you will add unto me accordingly (Luke 12:31). "Being confident of this very thing that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ" (Philippians 1:6). The best is yet to come! I haven't seen anything yet!!! In Jesus name I pray, Amen.
