Dear Friends,
I'm pleased to announce the completion of "A Minstrel's Life" my first CD to reflect my performances on the stages and lanes of the Renaissance Faire. I'm really happy with the recording. It's just like when you come across me in the lanes... you'll hear great music laced with humor and surprises. Sometimes the surprise is the guest artist, sometimes it's a song that's never been heard before!
Here to tell you how you can help with the last step of the process (the replication) by pre-ordering (and getting a two for one deal) a copy.... is my dear friend and co-conspirator, Beth Ann Broadhurst (www.myspace.com/trilliummoon)
Thanks for all your support, Ky Hote

Greetings,

You may or may not have yet had the chance to meet me.  My name is
Beth Ann and I have been working with Ky Hote on promoting his work
not only as an outstanding singer songwriter, and also as Renaissance
Faire performer.

I have some wonderful news to share with you.  Ky Hote is soon going
to be releasing his first ever Renaissance Faire album, “A Minstrel’s
Life”. The album has been recorded, mixed and mastered mostly at
Barnstormers Studios in Austin, TX. He has already appeared with such
performers as Joe Jewell, Crannog, Owl Morrison, Michi Reiger and Jim
Hancock on some amazing Ren Faire albums.  Recently he produced Brigid
Drake’s hammer dulcimer album, “Faire Days Ahead.”  Thanks to your
prompting as well as a bit of pushing by some of his closest friends,
he is now going to have his solo album out.  Of course, he couldn’t
resist asking some of his Rennie friends and amazing performers to
join him.  While the album mainly features Ky Hote and his “dangerous
guitar playing,” there are appearances by Jim Hancock, Vicki Scuteri,
Bob Bielefeld, Joe Jewell, and even Frank and Gabrielle from Crannog.

As excited as we are about this project, we have had a bit of a
reality check.  We need to come up with the money to replicate the
cds.  So, Ky and I have come up with an idea.  We would like to offer
you the opportunity to pre-purchase your own autographed copy at the
regular price of $15 and as a thank you; we will send you a second
copy to give as a gift.  Additionally we are not going to charge any
shipping fees for this special event.  During the Renaissance, Noble
Patrons were a common occurrence.  This was how talented individuals
survived.  We are reviving this tradition in hopes to benefit all of
you as well.

“A Minstrel’s Life” contains over 11 instrumental tunes and 7 songs.
Most of the material is traditional, but there are 6 composers
featured as well as well as 3 pieces by Ky Hote.  From his Ren Faire
repertoire, he includes songs by Michael Smith, Michelle Shocked, the
late Malcolm Smith (of Cantiga) and Donna Stjerna (of Still on the
Hill). See http://www.kyhote.com/aminstrelslife.htm for complete
listings and album cover. The final medley “Bear Dance/Nonesuch/Lie
Lie Lie” is done in the Most Dangerous fashion that Ky is known for on
the Ren Faire circuit.

I do understand that many of you know of Ky music from singer
songwriter circles and not the Renaissance Faire and you are saying,
“But what about a singer songwriter cd?”  I understand, and trust me;
we are working on that project even as you read this.  Have no fear we
will be announcing the release of that cd within a year.  Ky has been
working with Barnstormer Studios and Bruce Newman to begin the
recordings for a sequel to the 2001 release, “Mantras and Diatribes.”
A portion of the revenue we generate from after production sales of
his Ren Faire cd will be used to produce his singer songwriter album.

I can be contacted via email at creative.energy.booking@gmail.com  or
