I am an independent artist with thousands of "fans." I have never been a budget line item at any television/film studio, book publisher or record company. My growth is solely due to word of mouth. Thus, I persist.

Enough friends follow what I do to ensure word of my work continues to spread. Furthermore, if I write an indispensable, unforgettable, hauntingly personal book, they will render said document a movement unto itself. My "fans" want to share my work with their folks. Ironically, I need to write something so irresistibly personal, intimate and timely, that readers are anxious to discuss it, but are emphatically unwilling to lend (or share) their copy.

Some have nearly given up introducing people to my work. Devoid of an enticing point of entry, few can be convinced to explore it.  The question "What's in it for me," incessantly begs to be answered.  I owe everyone, driven to share my ideas, a book they will reference instinctively; until others are overcome with curiosity.

This tome has to be a dense, serious work capable of lifelong worth. It cannot be a spectacle of thinly veiled sensationalism cloaked in dumbed-down shock value. It will say what many would not dare but desperately wish was said. It must serve truth, unabashedly, while being demonstrative of fearlessness; in full knowledge it will often be judged before being understood. It will convince many to disassociate from me while uniquely affirming the humanity of others (in unanticipated ways).  This book must be written in complete communion with my gifts and demonstrate respect for that which bestowed them.
