Low720

Well lets get off to Friday night. It started out kinda wild with the dumbasses at the burnout and drag.I hate fuckin local idiots that just have to do doughnuts in the middle of a crowded street, this guy needs his ass kicked and then some. After having the street shut down the scene in front of Super 8 was as usual a drag session and meeting new people and seeing some kickass rides.

Saturday after waking up at 11:30 on the couch from a phone call from a guy wanting to know where the hell I was I got up and went to wash the 720.Thanks for waking me up guys. After arriving at the show setup and extra cleaning started thanks to the local car wash that leaves water spots from hell.I started to walk around the show but didn't make it far after stopping and talking to the guy with the vert 720 about possibly buying his louvered hood I didn't get to the other end of the lot.I went back to my truck and sat down for awhile and decided to go into Food City for a 12 pack and a bag of ice.Well after waiting almost 30 minutes for them to restock the ice cooler I finally got back to my truck.I finally got a chance to set down for a little while.I got up to go check out the rides at the other end of the lot but about half way there I ran into some friends and again didn't make it to the far end of the lot.Well after setting around bullshittin Me and Tim Hoskins started to the far end to check it out and Brandon asked me to do the drag for the Sport Truck shot. After figuring out where to meet and get that done we headed to the far end again. This time we stopped by the vert 720 again. After awhile we noticed Erin picking up trash and we started helping her and finally got to the far end of the lot.By this time all the rides were gone. After getting the lot looking decent again I headed back to Lees for a shower. After getting refreshed me and Tim headed downtown for the shoot. After about an hour of meeting the officals and figuring out how to do the shot we did the drag.It was awesome getting to drag by 2 police cars doing burnouts. The dragging continued until dark and then Jamie Kelly did a bed dance in the middle of the street.I have to say it is impressive at dark and the crowd loved it.Props to Mike for the idea. After the bed dance the stunt riding started and it was a crowd pleaser also.Things were starting to die down in town so it was time to hit the VIP which is hard to put into words but the memories are fuckin awesome. After getting annoyed by a certain board member I decided to go to Super 8 to check the scene out.It was dead so I went back to the house to get some sleep.

Sunday started out by me waking up at 11:30 again,Thanks for waking me up again guys.I headed to the show.It was a mad house as usual waiting on the judging sheets to be counted and awards to get started.I still didn't get to see all the vehicles. But I forgot to get the guys info on the hood,Please get me his contact info Lee.Well after awards and hanging out bullshittinn it was time for the ride home.Me and J.W. didn't make it 5 miles out of Whitesburg when he got a call about Sketch being broke down. After making the decision to head home and J.W. going to pick Sketches truck up and haul it home for him I finally made it home.

I've been around the scene since the mid 80s and I have to say that Heritage reminded me of Mini Nats when it was worth going to but about 3 notches higher.I can honestly say that I love this show and hope and pray Lee and Mike keep it going. Its not often that you find a town that welcomes and shows the kind of support that Heritage and Whiteburg do.In my opinion it is the best show i've ever attended.Keep up the great work guys.

What can i say? As always Lee aimed to please, and succeeded far beyond my wildest dreams. The cruise on Friday was great, even if there were burnouts. Cant say enough about the show, the numbers were a bit low this year, compared to last, but the quality was through the roof, and i blame the lowered number on increased gas prices, not a lack of work. Lee and his crew as usual busted their asses, and me and my crew had an absolultley amazing time. The cruise Saturday night, is far beyond me to put into words. Anyone who was there knows what i mean. From the draggin, to the cops doing the burnouts, to the light show from Jamie, it was just off the wall, and i loved every second of it. The party, well lets just say it was something i wont soon forget. I flopped the pool, and i provided some "high octane" for several people, who i hope enjoyed it. The thing i love most about Heritage and it happens to me every year with this year being no exception, i met a ton of new people and came home with many new friends. The number of people i met, and was able to hang with this year was more than a hundred, so please forgive me for not listing names, but you know how you are. Thanks to Lee, Mike, Erin, the city of Whitesburg, Letcher Co., all the participants, everyone, thanks for the awesome memories, the good times, and the minitrucks! Peace

This trip was nothing more than a reminder of how blessed I am to have the friends that I've got. Even though I came down with some stomach issues, had to see somebody that pisses me off, had a terrible hangover Sunday, & my truck broke down Sunday night, it was the greatest vacation I've ever had.

I met so many new people that I know I'll be apologizing down the road for having to ask them thier names over again. It was an honor to meet & hang out with Buford, Hollywood, Chase, Aaron, Chris Wilson, SlimJimDavis, DJ Bedwell (thanks for driving me back to Lee's bro) & anybody else I left out.

Jeremiah, I'm really glad I finally got to know you better. You're a kickass dude & it's awesome that I finally got to meet my brother from a different vagina (For those that don't know, don't ask).

Thanks to everybody that helped me out Saturday night. I didn't know it was humanly possible to get that drunk. I'll try to lose some weight before I get drunk with you all again....and I won't apologize for getting loud.

Lee & Erin, thank you all so much for putting up with me since Wednesday night. The pleasure was all mine & I'm so fortunate to have you all as friends. I love you both like family.

Lee's Mom & Dad, thanks for the food Friday and for being awesome, kickass people like you always are towards me. Mike, thanks a ton for coming to help me out last night. I can't thank you enough.

JW, you're a lifesaver & I love you like a brother as well. For those that don't know, this dude TURNED AROUND from going home Sunday night to pick my broke down ass up in Virginia & hauled me home, which is SEVERAL hours away from home for him. Thank you for everything bro. I'll forever owe you one.

Tom, thanks for making me laugh so damn much my cheeks hurt. However, no thanks for writing on my face Saturday night. Gar...

Buford & girlfriend (don't remember her name...Gar), You're truck kicks ass & you rock. Glad I got to finally meet you.

BigRik & crew, as always I had a blast hanging out with you all at Super 8 & at the party. You guys are awesome.

Allen, sorry I called you "old" & cracked the social security joke at the party. I honestly don't remember it though. Lol...

Funk, you're truck looks even better in person. Didn't get talk to ya a whole lot other than Friday night but it was fun while it lasted.

To everybody at the party I haven't brought up yet, thanks for not throwing me in the pool & please don't be offended by anything I said. Hell, I just wish I could remember most of it. Lmao!

My brain is hurting now...I'll continue this later

Id like to say thanks to everyone involved with the show. I felt like I was in my own home town. Very hospitipal group down there. The show was great, just how I like them. Laid back with quality. I had a blast getting my frontier out for basically the first time and taking it for a drive. Got to leave some nice rubber up on the mountain for you guys to see in MT coming up.

So again thanks for having me, it was a honor to take home that big trophey. I will do everything I can to do it again in 06!

From The original Mini-Nats to Sc8pefest, Ive been to my own fair share of shows, and Ive seen many of those shows just rot after the first couple of years. One thing that I can say is that not since the hey-day of Mini-Nats have I experienced such an atmosphere at a show that it just makes me want to never leave.

Like I said I have been to many shows, and I can truthfully say that in recent memory I cant recall ever experiencing a show with such a high quality of rides showing up than at Heritage 2K5.

The adventure started Friday around noon for me when I rolled into Whitesburg. I consider myself a Whitesburg Veteran being that this was my 3rd Heritage, plus trips over during the year, so I made my way to the Hotel and checked in and grabbed a bite to eat. As soon as I ate, I ran into none other than The BigRik, who had made it in earlier.

After catching up with all my HT and BTR brethren, I ran into Brandt and we checked out the sickest Frontier ever built then I showed them to their hotel up the road. I then made my way to get something for dinner and I showed Brandt the way to the downtown parking space, then we unloaded the Frontier and watched mouths drop for the next 4 hours.

All was going well with the dragging and *cough* burnouts until some old man decided to pull a 360 Tony Hawk Style and tap a Police Officer on the side. On that note we headed back to the hotel where we grabbed some grub from Food City then sat down for some high quality dragging in front of the Super 8, which has became a tradition in itself.

I packed it up for a night around midnight because 5:30 comes fast. After oversleeping lol, I got out around 6:15 and headed to help set up and get some of the guys parked that were able to set up before the gates opened.

Eight-thirty came and went and it became a fact soon that a lot of people partied hard the night before so not a lot of people showed up till around 9:30 10:00am then a steady flow started all the way up till 2:00.

After helping the guys out and getting all the judging out of the way, I loaded up the camera and snapped about 240 pictures. The day ended with everyone rolling out and heading downtown for more dragging and some special events that just made the show more than any other show could wish and dream for.

Brandon had set up a shoot for Minitruckin with the cops doing a burnout while Allen dragged by so we checked that out, then we checked out GO JAMIE KELLY! (dont ask) doing his thing in the middle of the intersection, which is probably the sickest ideal ever in the history of shows.

After all that I made my way back to the hotel for more late night dragging and hit the bed early around 11:00. The next morning I headed out around 7:30 and caught up with all the guys to see how their night went, *wink* *wink*.

I snapped some pictures for BTR then settled in for the awards presentation. After the awards I said my goodbyes, and called it a weekend.

In all my life of attending shows, I have never had more fun and been more relaxed than at this years Heritage. This years show is something thats worthy of the history books, and if I have to Ill be the one writing them.

So I say from all my heart and soul, thank you to everything that makes Heritage possible for us fan boys.
