So today was a lot of fun, surprisingly enough. I was just going to head to the mall when the word "spontaneous" drifted across the air. Thus was an impromptu trip to UC Davis born. It was awesome. The parents went along and we all checked out the campus, picking up a bunch of booklets and transfer information while we were there. I'm more motivated than ever to go to the school, now that I've seen how amazing it is.
Seriously. The campus is HUGE. I have to compare it to the size of SOU sometime. Also: HORSE RIDING CLASSES AND A RAPTOR HOUSE. Honestly, what more could a person ask for? The place is beyond fantastic. And so beautiful! My dad and I went for a stroll along this stream and there were baby ducks EVERYWHERE.
One was preening and it knocked itself over. Awwwww
I'm going to have to start riding my bike more. It's been a while. I don't want to be the awkward idiot who can't stay upright on a bike when I'm there! Everyone bikes up there. It's awesome. So good for the environment! The hippy in me was beaming with delight. So I'm going to take as many classes as I can from now on. Maybe I'll look into taking online classes from DVC as well, so I can get out of here as fast as possible. But I know I shouldn't take on too much. It'll make things too difficult for me.
I'm motivated now! I needed something to get me going and seeing the awesome campus was just what I needed to get my ass in gear.
Once I got back from Davis I had to go to call for the play I'm in. I was saddened. The buzz died with the realization that I once again had to deal with that damn production. There's a good side though! The play went really well, save for this jerk of a guy who kept talking during everyone's scenes. The parents went, which was an unexpected surprise. I hadn't thought they would make time to see it. ^^ I got everyone laughing more than once.
Fantastic.
It was a good day, all in all. Greg got back the jerk guy by hitting him in the face with his prop fag. My God, that was hilarious. Anyway. I need to work on some more art for my shop now, because this play has put me behind. Ah well.
It's almost over now. One more show!
