Croft,Bristol

Great reception.Paul sound should lay off the fags.Greeny pissed, should've dj'ed.Shook lots of peoples' hands.Smelly.Girls going for it.Monty - set list and kebab for Dave C. Nervous first gig in Bristol for over a year. Last minute preparations by Keeler and Gareth. Reassuring 'tooth paste cock' made an appearence. Good to see lots of old friends and impressed the wife too !

TJ Woodhouse,Leeds

Working man's club/phoenix nights/football/rugby/bingo/bar. Proff stays at Avalon B&B for an expensive shandy. Paul Carrick monitor man - good luck with the tour. Couldn't find any rubber bands. Only sold two posters. Stayed at Dave's,great hospitality. Promoter Ash and his helpers were top fella's. Stage invasions, shoe. Mudhoney dedicated 'When tomorrow comes'. Chav kids threw jacket on my head at end. Kandi Klub t-shirt ! Award winning sausages(wild mushroom). All running like a well oiled machine, using Gareth Turner elbow grease, only the best quality for us.

KoKo Theatre,Camden,London

Nice venue Koko, never been before. Good to see Keeler and Nita. BeatCast.tv didn't introduce themselves.Great stage hands. Big mirror ball, several different heights. Great crowd, very nervous. Bit 'Hello Cleveland'. Met Paul from the Dogstar days. Did Mudhoney documentary interview, babbled on nervously. Drank too much coffee, after cleaning up the machine made a mess, similar to the 'Monty coffee machine at the B.B.C.' incident. Great to see the other two Leeds boys. Simon signing Japanese breast. Best support since Van Halen with Sabbath '78.

My little tour blog. Thanks to everyone who helped us make it happen - h.o.morgan.
There's some crappy phone photo's in the pics.

Where were you hiding? I got my tilburg signed by the other three, now I can't sleep at night for thinking about my incomplete set.

I must say that the Koko is usually a really shite venue (cue loads of people arguing against). The sound was much better than usual - a lot clearer. And also... there was room to move! Usually when the Koko's sold out (was it sold out? I don't know) you can't get near the stage at all, but this time you could... Wow! I'd say it was a perfect gig that night - great sound and not squashed in! The only other band I've enjoyed there as much for clear sound was Isis. Bat For Lashes was good except it was just too packed (overcrowding is my main gripe about the Koko).
I left with my ears ringing but it was good!!!  Best time I've seen Mudhoney too...
Oh, and Mr. Auburn Phantom... dude, Hugo walked by you several times but I guess you just didn't clock him. Come to think of it, I myself never saw Paul that night. Oh well, whatever, nevermind...

Oh yeah, one last thing but unrelated to the gig. I was driving home past Centre Point and was heartbroken to find out they've finally demolished the Astoria, the LA2 and (I think )the Metro Club. Nothing there except a building site. Make way for a bunch of exclusive apartments and a shopping mall. So many good memories of that place... snorting coke off the steps backstage with Nick Oliveri and Dave Grohl(he didn't snort any!), smoking dope with Dave Catching, Earthlings and Farflung backstage at the LA2, and meeting Mark Lanegan, Nebula, Faith No More, Type O Negative, James Dean Bradfield, and The Wildhearts in the Keith Moon Bar... and the last three mentioned I met on the same night - weird! RIP to a couple of great venues.
