The New Slam Season is about to start! Poets Are you ready
to Rumble?!
....
That’ right folks we’re kicking off the new season this
coming Tuesday August 25th. We’ve moved the Slams to the 4th
Tuesday as so not to conflict with other events at Kieran’s Irish pub and to be
able to get the shows started on time more easily.
....
Also Kieran’s has started opening up the back room at 7pm
instead of 7:30 so come down early for dinner and drinks! The show starts at
8pm and cost $5 bucks and is still ages so that’s all the same as last season.

Alright! Are you excited? I know we are.
....
Here’s so more info on your September 8th feature
poets Lindsay Miller & Doc Luben currently out on their Small Shark Tour
....
"We're gonna need a bigger boat. Or the same size boat, and a smaller
shark."
....
A Smaller Shark is a poetry duo consisting of Lindsay Miller
and Doc Luben, two of the hottest writers to come out of southern Arizona in
recent memory. They have years of stage
experience as slam poets, actors, and singers.
Between the two of them they've performed all over the Southwest and won
more Tucson slams than everyone else put together, including three years' worth
of City Championships. With diverse
artistic backgrounds and very similar hairstyles, they draw on everything from
the Bible and Shakespeare to Origin of Species and science fiction for
their performances. They've appeared in
classrooms, coffee shops and theaters, opened for the Vagina Monologues, and
represented Tucson at every national slam in the past year. They're funny, smart, thought-provoking,
inspiring--basically, they're everything you're looking for in a lover. Except tall. They're not tall.
....
Come check them out on Sept 8th!
....
