“This podcast is a live capture of a performance at Cranbrook Museum of Art.I did it with my collaborators Walter Wasacz and Jennifer Paull. Together we call ourselves ‘nosepctacle’.Our name speaks to our whole approach, which has been to find a means to combine dj sets with live performance. Walter and I both bring a level of punk attitude to the table - Walter, from the early 80’s - me from the mid to late 80’s and Jennifer is more of a late 90’s skate punk. Not that you’ll hear any Black Flag in the set - but it’s just kind of a reflection of our eclecticism and a kind of snarkiness that sometimes comes into our sets.We also do live video mixing - so it’s an expanded cinematic immersion.A number of my tracks are kind of orphans that Walter and Jennifer kind of wrap their arms around and together, we kind of make a new home for them.The KPT Michigan track has been something that stayed with me since I first heard it. I really like his stuff - and back in 2004 we both played Mutek in Montreal - though we never met.”
