VIDEO: Hate Exercise? Too Fat to Get Fit?

Much food for thought indeed. It's become a minefield... and kids are so right. I remember a 14 year old boy, a friend's son, telling me that I was perfect and that if others couldn't see it, it was THEIR problem. He was at that precious stage of growth... and hasn't changed much. I hang on to that. And try to believe it, no matter what stage of outward appearance I'm at.
I think it's inevitable that those who don't fit the standard or media 'normal' pass some attitudes, insights, hang-ups et al down to their kids. I've never seen it be otherwise. But.... children often see right through it, even if only for a while. And that's glorious :)

Thank you so much for this! I grew up in a home where Mom was ALWAYS on a diet... ALWAYS. I grew up thinking I was fat... and had the same experience looking at pictures of me in high school... I was "dieting" and hating myself, but looking at the pictures... WOW...I was fucking HOT! Now, 28, married, fat, business owner, college graduate, etc... all these things... and it has been a journey to STOP the self-hatred, and realize I am more than a number on a scale or what the size on the tag... Thank you so much! It is so reassuring to know I am not alone! Peace, love, and light!
