The Inside Scoop

In case you didn't figure it out yet, my new film "West 32nd" will be premiering at the Tribeca Film Festival at the end of April. It's one of only two US films in competition and one out of 18 overall. This is a really exciting time. And we couldn't dream of a better place to be premiering -- for a New York audience.

We have been the little engine that could chugging through production and getting our way to this event. We really want to make this premiere a big success. And we hope you do too.

From the beginning, this has been a risky venture for CJ Entertainment who financed the film. This is the first time they have invested in an American production. If we can prove that there is a market for Asian American film in the US, we may open the doors for a lot more funding in the future for all Asian American filmmakers.

There are going to be five screenings total at the festival. We hope you can make it to one of them (particularly the daytime screenings in the middle of the week -- the schedule will be up at the end of this month on the Tribeca Film Festival site). We plan on celebrating this time with cool events and online promotional stuff over the next few weeks.
