I'm sorry to report that the next week of Get Up Kids shows, starting at the 9:30 Club in DC tonight, will be semi-acoustic due to our drummer Mike getting real sick and having to leave the tour to rest and heal up.  

We hope to have him back for the last week or so, and will keep you posted.

We wish Mike a speedy and full recovery and promise to do our best to get the songs across as impactfully as possible in his absence.

this is funny (not cause of the sickness) but i have been trying to convince my brother to listen to you for years now and his reason for not is he "isnt into the slower acoustic stuff". He is going to the Columbus show with us to which i informed him "get ready for the Goddamn Band with show you how slooooooow Kevin Devine is." HA damn!

if you need a drummer i know one that is going to the show. he has been drumming since he was two years old and is really quite impressive. never heard anyone say anything bad about him. you should ask for will brone and im sure you will be impressed! (at the cats craddle tuesday)
