Good Evening...It's Been A Minute.

First Up:

Chris Brown-"Exclusive"

...able to hunch large women in a single thrust!

TAMPA, Chris Brown's sophmore album entitled Exclusive hit stores and has garnered as much attention from his pre pubescent fans as his first...with more "maturity" of course. Chris claims he's grown on this album and wants to portray a more mature Chris, one that's been with your mom. It immediately kicks off with a bang, "Throwed" uses a semi-go-go beat on the track, going back to Chris' "roots" in Virginia. It's a fun track overall, don't expect much depth of feild though.  The 80's R&B/Pop inspired track, "Take You Down" uses an 808 to die for. Yeah it's just the same as you've ever heard it, but it gives you a "Promise" feel with the hollow parts in the production so it sounds nicer. Oh and it screams "I've had an older woman in the industry! And she liked it!"Some other standout tracks are "Picture Perfect ft. Will.I.Am", "You", and "Lottery". By far, "Lottery" has the best overall executed production and makes Chris' voice sound like his juevos are being squeezed. ~~R.K.J. Rating:::> $$$1/2 (B)

Secondly:

Alicia Keys-"As I Am"

...I just pissed my pants.

TAMPA, As I Am offers a very similar sway from the norm to John Legend's Once Again. Definately not as boring as John Legend's, Alicia offers a 60's soul/80's R&B them to this album. The first single "No One" gathered mixed judgement in the early stages because of Alicia's blatant out of key parts in the song, similar to Keyshia Cole's live performances. To me the singing didn't match the production and it made it hard for me, but it grew on me anyway. Early on I said it sounded like she was on some Bob Marley when she began to sing it...the first remix contains a Jamaican beat and one of Bob's 30 sons Damian Marley. It fit perfectly. The extreme titled "Like You'll Never See Me Again" is the second and current single off the album and has received nothing but praise from critics. Personally I think it's beautiful and the video features her "Smoking Aces" jump off Common. The video as well is touching to the soul. Alicia can even act without the volume. More breath taking tracks include "Wreckless Love" (featured on my playlist), "Lesson Learned", "I Need You", and "Where Do We Go From Here". This album leaves me feeling tingling in my chest after hearing it, I don't know if that is good but I give this album: $$$$/(A-)

Thanks again for dropping by!!! Luv U Guys!!!
