Friday night I had the pleasure of attending First Fridays at Medusa Lounge with music selectors Darren Revell, Shok and guest Vixen van Gogo.  I had a night filled with ups, downs, great music, people I see daily and some I rarely ever see. In short it was a night out, with all the magic, vexation, conversation, subtle glances, excitement and mischance that makes them what they are. The more I thought about it, the more I wanted to capture all of this in DJ mix. This is not the music I am known for spinning, this is about capturing an emotional rollercoaster, telling a story, the adventure that was Friday June 5th at Medusa Lounge. Here it is:

A few technical details. This was recorded live in one take in my apartment with out planning what I was going to play, I think it is very similar to what I might have played if I spun that night and captured the vibe I was feeling. Recorded on 2 Pioneer CDJ-800 cd players, and a Pioneer DJM-800 mixer into a Gemini iKey USB key recorder.
