The most famous techno club in the world, techno music icon Dave Clarke and the No. 1 music portal in the world are looking for the top DJs of tomorrow!
Right after the summer vacation the "Tresor.award 2009 presented by Numark & Akai Professional" and Tresor Club Berlin bring together upcoming young DJs and their latest records to get the dance floor clubbers sweating. They will demonstrate how DJing is much more than just "playing records".
Starting 07 October, 2009 the promising achievers among the techno DJs will show their know-how live in Tresor Club every Wednesday night before an international audience and top-class jury, and try to qualify themselves for the "Tresor.award Finals" that will take place in the most famous techno club in the world Tresor on the 20th and 27th of November, 2009.
Together with the music community’s No. 1 Myspace, the initiators have developed a special Action called “Tresor.award 2009 meets Myspace Band Radar",
This will take place online starting 23 October parallel to the actual event in Tresor Club. Overseer and guest juror for the whole campaign is techno icon Dave Clarke. With his Remixes for Depeche Mode and Underworld, and his best selling own productions, he is considered one of the first and most innovative of the techno producers from the UK. On his successful radio show “White Noise” he supports young, talented upcoming DJs and shows further how techno music is in growing development with new artists advancing steadily. It’s obvious that Dave Clarke’s top rank in the field makes him the best person fill the job for the DJ contest.
The Band Radar initiative will last two weeks on Myspace. The first week begins with a call on the start page and aims for all the 400,000 music profiles on Myspace. Dave Clarke will personally decide who will unexpectedly get the chance to become the new young DJ face of Tresor Club, and also chooses the 10 best unsigned DJs from all the contestants. In the second week, these will be presented for voting by the over 200 million Myspace users. The winner of the “Tresor.award meets Myspace Band Radar” receives a Wildcard and is qualified immediately, without a detour, to the Tresor.award finals on 27 November.
Both Tresor.award winners will receive a complete DJ equipment collection through the partner companies "http://akaipro.numark.de" Numark & Akai, HYPERLINK "http://www.ableton.com" Ableton and "http://www.ortofon.com" Ortofon, as well as a one-year support campaign through Tresor with national gigs, coachings, interviews, press kit and photo shootings. Both winners need to mark in red the date 19 December, 2009 in their calendars because they will on that date support Dave Clarke in Tresor Club.
