SLINGBACK
So Tight It Hurts
Columbus Day Weekend
Sunday October 7th 2007
Don Hill's: 511 Greenwich St.
10 pm-4am

This fall, philanthropic nightlife impresario Deryck Todd will be
taking New York's fashionistas 4 inches higher with a new shoe-sational event, SLINGBACK: So Tight it Hurts! Infamous for downtown get downs like BowieBall, his chic following will slide into the legendary Soho hotspot Don Hill's for an evening of haute couture burlesque, live performances, and DJ's to benefit Soles4Souls, the international charity dedicated to providing free footwear to disadvantaged people around the world. Best-selling author of "Confessions from the Velvet Ropes" & notorious door persona Thomas Oronato will tap in the in crowd. A shimmering Cinderellaesque goddess will greet guests while silver slippers swing from the rafters like urban disco balls. To pump up the volume, New York hottest DJ's JD Samson and Johanna Fateman (Le Tigre/Men), Michael T (Rated X, Motherfucker), Princess Superstar, June D (Fun at Studio B, White Doves), DJ Sandra (Misshapes/GBH) & Vancouver import Fembot will spin the dance rock that makes stilettos strut.

Hosts Earl Dax, Joey Nova (Rebel Rebel, Atomic X), Roxy Cottontail, Simcha (GBH) and Amylulita (Shaw Promotion/Nacotheque) will all be there to kick up their heels for LaChapellian celebrity photographer Justin Hyte, www.justinhyte.com.Slingback is sponsored by tattoo aficionado label Ed Hardy's, OPI Nail Lacquer, Chinese Laundry, Steve Madden and YRB Magazine, and to boot there will be a fashion footwear contest with an all-star judges panel featuring Austin Scarlett (Project Runway), Fancy Nancy (Paper Magazine's 50 Most Beautiful People), and picture perfect Patrick MacDonald. Our entertainers include downtown darling Kenny Kenny, the fêted bevy of burlesque beauties Peach Tartes and the daring Dazzle Dancers. Between the sets on the stage, there will also be a charity raffle for heels autographed by celebrities, among other shoetastic goodies.

Past parties have strolled in a glitterati following from burlesque bad girl Dita Von Tesse, record producer Tony Visconti, designer/rocker Keanan Duffty, electronica innovators Fischerspooner, iconic photographer Mick Rock, and actress Patricia Arquette…the question is who will slip into this
pairs' party next? Slingback is sure to be an evening of high-heeled fashion, glamour, and entertainment for the city's most stylish rebels with a cause!SLINGBACK
