The sun is out today...it's smiling into my windows and saying,"Good Morning!".

When I woke up this morning by the blazing light of the sun (time to make curtains...!), I heard that song by the Beatles in my mind: "Here Comes the Sun"...
'Sun, Sun, Sun...Here it comes...'

I love that song. My new neighbors were blasting music last night...super loud...and for a while, they were blasting the Beatles: "Strawberry Fields Forever"...good stuff.

Last night I finished a big art project for work, and I'm glad to have the weekend free to work on the new place...free to see some friends too, and have some laughs. The great thing about work is the feeling that follows when it's all done: FREE-BIRD!

Did you have your three surprises this week...your three gifts? Each week has three surprises...three gifts that come from life. Sometimes it's easy to miss out on a surprise, when life is too busy and no one's paying attention. If you expect three surprises though, they will always be there...they will always show up. My gifts from life this past week were: a phonecall from an old friend, the rain and the way that it made the garden glisten and the third is one I'll keep to myself...secret surprises are sometimes the best of all.

Gotta go now...no matter how tough life gets, there is always something small and beautiful and quiet to find comfort in...the morning sun...the Beatles...a rooster crowing in a city neighborhood...rain...a hot candle-lit bath, a warm, sleepy bed...your home....a perfect and quiet flower, growing through the cracks in the street...your friends, who try to make you laugh and smile because they like to see you happy...your friends, who love you more than you may even realize.
