The Guish is due for a tune in a mo but a little note in the meantime. Did a Shoogles gig on the weekend just gone in Beverley with the hysterical Matthias Foulds. Oh the Hilarity! Had some genuine moments of gorgeous weirdness and martian intervals aplenty.

Good to see Jennifer from Glow Arts there as venue manager. What a gal - totally on the case.

Since then been overdosing on Slow Dazzle and Helen of Troy by John Cale. Great albums. Rhyming "Picasso" with "Asshole" kills me every time.

And watching footage of Planxty from the seventies. Thankyou to RTE and Pete Hill for getting it to me. The Irvine has such a great sense of beauty in a melody. Inspirational!
