1. Army officer from Honolulu refuses to report for Iraq duty

This article about a Honolulu man who has tried twice to resign his Army commission as an officer because he believes he "cannot justify or support legally and morally" the war in Iraq mentions Katherine's case.
The man, 1st Lt. Ehren Watada, a 2003 Hawaii Pacific University graduate, will refuse to deploy with his unit later this month.
2. The New Standard News ran a brief piece about Katherine's case in their weekly run-down of stories related to rights and privacy on June 1.
3. WBAY Channel 2 in Green Bay and WISC Channel 3 in Georgia covered the story on May 25.
4. Many stories ran the Associated Press article that was on the wire just after the sentencing, including The Winona News and the Duluth News Tribune in Minnesota and some others listed in the first blog posting about media coverage.
5. Common Dreams ran the press release, and Free Speech Radio News from Pacifica Radio ran a short piece about the sentencing.
