Who Gives Kudos:

Tuesday, June 02, 2009
I have just landed back in Nashville tonight after an amazing seventeen days in L.A.  I was very blessed to be a part of a new music/game show called "The Singing Bee", to be aired on CMT in mid June.  I was one of the six singers featured on the show.  The other very talented singers are Jared Johnson, Kim Keyes, Kim Parent, Storm Lee and Kenley Monson.  None of us had ever worked together before but we were just like family and worked together great.  Steve Dorff is musical director and did such a fantastic job and brought out the very best in all of us.  Steve put together an amazing band and Melissa Peterman, is the host of the show.  Melissa was co-star of the sitcom, "Reba" and was a joy to work with.  Phil Guren's company produced the show and his production team and director couldn't have been any better.  So supportive and first class.  The show was filmed at CBS Television City in Hollwood,  in the same studio where American Idol is filmed.  Steve had Randy Jackson's dressing room and I was in the room used by this year's American Idol winner.  They literally tore the Idol  set down one day and our set was being put up the next morning.   We rehearsed six days before the filming started at a rehearsal hall in Burbank.  Also, sharing the facility were Jamie Foxx, Micheal Jackson, Motley Crue, the Jonas Brothers, Mandy Moore and Earth, Wind and Fire.(in different rooms of course, lol).  I was beginning to wonder if I was on another planet.  Once filming started at CBS, we had alot of 14 hour days but it was one of the greatest experiences that I have ever had.  I have never worked with nicer people.  Ten episodes were shot and the show will premiere in mid June.  When I find out the date, I will post it.  I uploaded some photos from the week and will post more when I recieve them.
