Chanticleer's longstanding affection for the California Missions goes back to its debut 30 years ago in the Mission Dolores in San Francisco. This concert of Mission-era music was performed in nine of the missions on the Camino Real between San Luis Obispo to the south and San Francisco to the north.

This concert Series was a part of American Masterpieces-California, a program highlighting and celebrating the masterpieces of our nation and, specifically, our California heritage; it was supported by the California Arts Council, the National Endowment for the Arts, the Western States Arts Federation and the E. Nakamichi Foundation. We are honored to have been invited to take part.

This concert is being release on AUGUST 26, 2008 as a CD/DVD set.
