Hurrah!!!

Well - back in November in a meeting of The Treasure Tones table, i announced that I was going to start an event. I swiftly feared that once again, I might have allowed my mouth to get the better of me, and that I was then required to carry out my promise. So off I went with a thousand images of a small revolution.

I personally had been growing a little fed up of the rules and regulations that seem to have overtaken the art of gigging. I wanted to be able to gig in a place where being yourself and sharing your art is all thats required. A place for creativity, people and that arts.

...and thus The Treasure Tones Party made its virgin voyage on the sea of the london live scene last night. I have to say it was fucking awesome. It was a night with great music, people and a really nice vibe. Thats just what i was hoping for. I was soooooo chuffed to see that people had come over from Paris!!!! and I saw that lovely thing happen where fans who have come to see one band end up going home as fans of the other bands too - as opposed to the massive clearing out of audience space that seems to be the norm now between band performances at gigs. I have come to the conclusion that art 9in whatever form) on a Sunday evening is the way forward. Makes you forget about Mondays for a bit longer.

So the next one is going to be even better! We're going to have lots of different types of art and entertainment and more great bands, of course Treasure Tones too... (i've always wanted a residency at the Whisky a go go bar but the Atlantic has always been in the way - Camden will do nicely)
