Current mood: Rollercoastering
Many, many thanks to all the good rovers who made the wonderful benefits possible. I wish I could name everyone, but, frankly, I don't know everyones name. All these pirate AKAs floatin' around is confusing as the idea of Davy Jones' in Hell! (wet? hot? perhaps boiling?). Anyhoo, about $3,000 was raised, which blew our minds!
A bit of what may be encouraging news: They may be able to implant a pain pump in Mallory's back which would help him hugely if it works. He has been doing really poorly and all the meds don't help. The benefits will not only pay for the car that gets us to and from the doctors, but part of the pain pump to help Mallory come back to his old self.
Otherwise all is about the same. We are waiting for the sword to drop (the big one I pilfered at Pedro?) re the house but nothing has happened yet. The banks call up to four times a day so we usually have to monitor the calls, although many of them are the same recording over and over. And everytime a real person calls, the Captain has to tell the same story, over and over and over and over! Maybe we should make a recording!
Meanwhile, the lawyers for the courts seem to be getting rich over our (and a mess of others) suit againt the scum that swindled us. They are auctioning off the baddies' office furniture which will make a huge hole in the debt. Yeah, sure!
Well, that's the news for now. Again, we are so touched! There are not words, although we try.
