The DJ is the MOST important of all of Hip Hop Elements. Period.
The roots of Hip Hop are a very sacred time, and that time was birthed by the DJ. In order for the MC to do his thing, it starts with the DJ. The attitude of a graffiti artist (nowadays our graphic artist) come from the beat of the DJ. The dancer cannot dance without the DJ. Somebody has to press play in order for Hip Hop to be heard. And that person my friend, is the DJ.
