Whew, it's been a long time since I've "blog" I have friends who manage to "blog" daly. I just can't seem to find the time. I try to steal a few moments everyday to get to all the sites I'm on, read e-mail and get my work done on top of that. As a freelancer I work from home, so you would think I would have more time to do stuff like Blog, yet, I can't seem to find the time.  But this morning I have a few minutes to jot down what I'm thinking before I get to work. This weekend I went to a Marvel Reunion and Tribute to Mark Gruenwald. If you into comics (and I know most of you are.) You would know of Mark Gruenwald he not only wrote Captain America for a number of years, but he was an Editor at Marvel comics.  Most would agree when Mark passed away, Marvel lost it's soul. Even during the "Bad Days" of the company Mark was still "Gun-Ho" for Marvel. I think he knew it would get better and it did. The Marvel Reunion was with many former Employes who where working at Marvel from the '80s to the early 90's. We also had people who work there earlier and later then that time but for the most part it had many of the people that where there when I started in 1994. It was great to see so many people I've worked with but it was even great to see those that where then when I first stared as an intern. Many are still in the comic filed so I see them at cons and events. But to see people who I though I would never see again was a blast. So many people had fun, I think it'll become an annual event.  Hopefully so, this group of people did so many important things at Marvel they shape what Marvel was during the 80's and early 90's it was easy to see from that crowd why the books where so good in that time.

Another News-- Section 8 Comics is coming along greatly. We finish up a few projects and we should be going to print with a color edition of the 24 hour comic I did called "Ninja Mouse". If you been to our website (and if you haven't yet, for shame, but please go there are some really cool stuff there. www.the8spot.com Link at the bottom) You would find images of the black and white book I did. Eric Rivera thought it would be cool to color this book before I stated to work on an new issue of Ninja Mouse, we both wonder what this book would look like in color and I was so surprise how great this book looks. I mean, sure I know I'm a great colorists but Damn! I didn't think this book would shine they way it does. I can't wait to have it printed. I'll post up a few images on this blog so you can see what some of the pages look like.
We are preparing for Wizard World Philly, We've been going to that convention since it open I guess over 10 years ago? I don't know the date, but I know I've been to every one that Wizard did there. I love that show because it's a big con that is easy to get to by car and I've always had fun there. Plus it where Eric and I had our first convention as Section 8 Comic, I always thought of it as our "home" Show. Plus New York wasn't doing a Con at the time. Yet the last few years the show has been slowing doing and getting smaller, I hear they have added a Gaming con to it as well, so hopefully that will bring in more fans!
Here is an image of one of our early Wizard World Con.

Well That's the time I have to run and get more coloring and Lettering do for my paid work, so I can have time to do work on my books.

Come back soon and I'll have some artwork back on this page.

See you in the funny pages!
