Hi Guys!!
As some of you may know, we teach a music production class at The Arches in Glasgow on a weekly basis, and we also do outreach work in local schools.
These workshops in music production are free to the youngsters that attend. The concept is to give them an insight into creative music making using new media in a format which is easily accessible. Participants engage in a series of clear and simple modules that provide instruction in how to operate various types of computer software commonly associated with the production of urban/electronic music and general music recording. Instruction is given in basic music principles, audio theory and editing, loop-based production, development & understanding of MIDI and computer based composition, sequencing, multi-tracking, mixing and integrated DJ performance. The programme also covers music business and rights management, enlightening participants on how income can be generated from the exploitation of their musical works through the various forms of licensing that exist.

We're looking to take these classes further a field, so if you would like to help us engage youth and set up a similar initiative in your city please contact us: info@tigerstyleonline.co.uk
We are especially interested in working with charities, the education sector and organisations targeting young people.
