I'm tired of the enemy deceiving Christians into rejecting Jesus!!!
by accepting the pressures and expectations of this worlds idea of beautiful.

“Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The Lord does not look at the things man looks at. Man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart” (1 Samuel 16:7).

( God Sees The Heart )
A poem by Jamie Turner

Our God measures man by His standard divine,
For He sees underneath every outward design.
He looks past possessions and costly attire;
He studies the heart, every thought and desire.

Our God does not judge by how tall we may stand,
Or how much we possess, or the rank we command.
His gaze goes far deeper to things that endure;
He honors the man or woman who keeps his heart pure.

For the eyes of the Lord are searching to and fro,
We have no secrets that our God does not know.
Our Father knows our thoughts, He understands every part.
Man sees the outside, but God sees the heart.

Outward appearance is not the best way to judge how "good" a person is. One example is Ted Bundy. He was a very handsome man who, in the 1970s, murdered woman after woman before he was caught. He was an effective serial killer, because he was very charming and good-looking. People like Ted Bundy serve to remind us that what is on the outside does not always match the inside.

More importantly, look at Jesus. Here is God's Son come to Earth in as a man. Do people recognize His outward appearance as anything but a man? No. Instead he was hung on a cross and died. His own people did not look beyond the outer appearance to see His inner beauty and holiness and majesty.

I must admit there are days when my heart looks black with sin, full of pride and self-centeredness. There’s not a whole lot of beauty to be found in it, and instead of fearing the Lord, I find myself fearing more what other people think.
“What comes out of the mouth gets its start in the heart.

Jesus said. “It’s from the heart that we vomit up evil arguments, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, lies and cussing” Matthew 15:18, 19

"In the same way, on the outside you appear to people as righteous, but on the inside you are full of hypocrisy and wickedness."Matthew 23:28

The heart of man is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: Who can know it?" -Jeremiah 17:9

You’ll never hear society’s influencers say, “Hey, you feeling ugly? Maybe you ought to get your heart right with God.” Instead, they’ll persuade us to undergo an extreme makeover that includes a nose job, chin enhancement, breast augmentation, full-body liposuction, teeth whitening and a 1200-calories-a-day diet. Or they’ll give us endless amounts of advice to feel and look more beautiful.

Ever heard this before?
“Feel good, feel pretty and that's just what the world will see. If you feel ugly, that’s what people will see.”

There’s more than just looking or feeling beautiful.
What about being beautiful?
Mother Teresa’s beauty won over the world. Sure, at first glance she appeared to be a short wrinkly old lady with a slight mustache. But when you saw her heart so full of love, you saw one of the most beautiful women to grace this world. She proves there really is something to this idea of inner beauty.

Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised,” (Proverbs 31:30).

Youth’s for an hour,
Beauty's a flower,
But love is the jewel that wins the world.

No matter how good you look, you may still feel loneliness in your heart that only God can fill. No matter how beautifully white your teeth are, they can never lighten a black heart. No matter how stylishly you dress, you may still have a wounded soul.

Our obsession with outer beauty reveals hearts hungering for God.

Real, lasting beauty shines in us when we connect our (sometimes beastly) hearts to a living God who loves and forgives and heals.
Fill your heart with His love!!!
“guard [it], for it is the wellspring of life” (Proverbs 4:23) ... and perhaps, of beauty.

Jesus Whom I can call BEAUTIFUL in the highest sense, reveals to me my beauty every time I remember His love for me in Isaiah 53.

1 Who has believed our message
and to whom has the arm of the LORD been revealed?

2 He (Jesus) grew up before him like a tender shoot,
and like a root out of dry ground.
HE HAD NO BEAUTY OR MAJESTY TO ATTRACT US TO HIM,
NOTHING IN HIS APPEARANCE THAT WE SHOULD DESIRE HIM.

3 HE WAS DESPISED AND EJECTED BY MEN,
A MAN OF SORROWS, AND FAMILIAR WITH SUFFERING
LIKE ONE FROM WHOM MEN HIDE THEIR FACES
HE WAS DESPISED, AND WE ESTEEMED HIM NOT.

4 Surely he took up our infirmities
and carried our sorrows,
yet we considered him stricken by God,
smitten by him, and afflicted.

5 But he was pierced for our transgressions,
he was crushed for our iniquities;
the punishment that brought us peace was upon him,
and by his wounds we are healed.

6 We all, like sheep, have gone astray,
each of us has turned to his own way;
AND THE LORD HAS LAID ON HIM THE INIQUITY OF US ALL.

7 He was oppressed and afflicted,
yet he did not open his mouth;
he was led like a lamb to the slaughter,
and as a sheep before her shearers is silent,
so he did not open his mouth.

8 By oppression and judgment he was taken away.
And who can speak of his descendants?
For he was cut off from the land of the living;
for the transgression of my people he was stricken.

9 He was assigned a grave with the wicked,
and with the rich in his death,
though he had done no violence,
nor was any deceit in his mouth.

10Yet it was the LORD’s will to crush him and cause him to suffer,
and though the LORD makes his life a guilt offering,
he will see his offspring and prolong his days,
AND THE WILL OF THE LORD WILL PROSPER IN HIS HAND.

May the your Devine Creator, continue to reveal to you His Beauty, So that you will grow to learn, receive and understand How Great His love is for you and just How beautiful and worthy He sees you because of Him who became Nothing.

Halleluiah !!!

Love,
BECKAH SHAE
