TIME

Yesterday was. . .

Being taken away from my mother
When i was just in 4th grade;
Learning to get through life
With just my brother and me;
With all of my stuff in a black plastic bag,
Going to live with a new family.
I realized how my life had a change
at this very young age.
Bouncing from one school to another
Without hope of staying in one place.
Then finally finding a house
I could genuinely call it a home.

Today is. . .

Getting an education
Wishing I knew then what i know now.
Planning for what happens next week
While worrying what happens next year.
Working on today's homework
and tomorrow turning it in.
All for the purpose of graduating
so my new life may begin.

Tomorrow will be. . .

A day full of wonders
A new beginning
A new life.
