Il faut contacter le OMV au 1-225925-6371 ou au 1-877-368-5463 (gratuit) pour avoir le prix exact. Les programmes d'immersion française recevront $25.00 pour chaque plaque vendue ! En juillet, les plaques seront disponibles aux bureaux de DMV à travers l'état. Vous pouvez également obtenir une plaque (échantillon) pour $12. On a entendu que les plaques sont populaires à travers l'état. Youpi !

Grâce au travail de France Trépanier, prof d'immersion française à Myrtle Place Elementary à Lafayette, Joshua Mouisset, un de ses étudiants (10), est un des deux étudiants américains (l'autre de la Californie) qui ont participé dans la grande finale de la Dictée P.G.L. en mai à Montréal, Canada. C'est un concours international sur l'épellation en français parrainé par la Fondation Gérin-Lajoie. Le concours a eu lieu le 17 mai. Félicitations à France et à Joshua! Launching of Bilingual French/English Family Literacy Program, Fall 2009
LEH et le Consulat general de France a annoncé la première phase du programme Prime Time Family Reading à travers la Louisiane (français-anglais), un programme de lecture et de discussion pendant six semaines. Il y aura des sessions sur les thèmes tels que le courage, l'intelligence, et la responsabilité. Une équipe bilingue - quelqu'un pour mener la discussion et un raconteur, présente aux parents les bénéfices et le plaisir de la lecture et la discussion des contes avec leurs enfants.
