Whew! My long week without the kids in the building is almost over! And since the company is going to be in the theatre this week, it means I get to get into the studio with some students I don’t see as often as I’d like.

I’ve been doing some teaching research (my favorite hobby...nerdy as it might be), and so I have tons of new ideas about turns and jumps that I’m looking forward to playing with. Also, just before spring break ensued, I was starting to work with the E’s and F’s on balance. It may seem like every dancer has balance, but although it is one of the fundamentals of ballet - it’s actually one of the hardest elements to master.

So, back to work it is! I can’t wait!
