Well considering it gives us distribution to hot topic, itunes, amazon.com and other places, I would call that pretty sweet... plus more percentage of profit per CD sold instead of getting raped by a huge label...

let me know when you do something notable with yourself.

take care,

Wil

Jeez.... one kudo for taking the high road Wil, and one for getting fucking SIGNED, PERIOD, in this whirling torrent of sick industry!!! And isn't that just ONE good reason to make awesome music, to SELL it? That's not called selling out, that's called making money doing what you enjoy doing!!

I rejoice with great love and respect for Methodical! Congratulations and sorry I'm so fukken late seeing this! I'm slow, and I just got the SERIOUS run-around and got really bullshitted by somebody who really IS an industry whore, after staying uber-busy for her for 2 months :-/ Let's just say she's not in my top friends anymore hahaha... God still loves her... and this shitty kid too, believe it or not...

Distribution at itunes, amazon, and -most- other places you can do yourself. make an account and have a bot send out the mail.
*snore*

hot topic? your excited about hot topic? and you ask why I call you sell outs :(

you guys were cool awhile ago, and I had hopes for yall.
buuuut, now its played out, so sorry, but we can't be friends on myspace anymore :(

good luck with whatever you do, i'm sure you'll get paid somewhere along the line.

I'd just like to say that I find this amazingly funny.....how is signing with a small independent label make one a sell out? But I am glad that we managed to make you so outraged over a business deal that had absolutely nothing to do with you....maybe you feel excluded, is that is...so how about this...pull your keyboard out of your ass and record whatever screams or moans of pleasure that causes you to make and then submit it to me as a demo....will that make you feel better?

You can email your submission to demo@toxicshockrecords.com

Look forward to hearing it!

Yeah dude, get fucked. You have no idea how rough it is to make any progression in music now. Everything has gotten so watered down with these garbage myspace who play because it's the cool thing to fo and don't give a shit about playing music for the love of it. Hell even people like you only make matters worse because I'm quite sure you've never been to one of their shows, if any local band at all. Go accomplish something and then you can have some sort of credibilty, otherwise leave your fucking comments to yourself.

Ok, the moral of this story is that you are a keyboard warrior and are sitting at home talking smack without ever having done anything with yourself.

You think we really give a crap about the opinion of one person that does not support us for what we stand for, but rather talk smack because we had to part with a few band members in order to continue progressing?
This is business my friend, in life you never let any one thing get in the way of the primary goal.

Played out... not many people will be saying that once they see the amount of talent we have added to the lineup.

As for pay, I make more than enough at my daytime job... if for some reason we never make millions with the band, at least I can say we have helped many people along the way, and that is the reason the band was created.
But again you clearly do not know much about it.

And you are correct, Hot topic, Amazon, and iTunes is not a huge thing.
But it is a step in a positive and productive direction.

Toxic Shock Records may not be a huge name label, but sometimes the little guy will push forward that much harder because they have more desire and focused care on the people they work with.

Will we sign to a bigger label eventually, yes, but in the mean time we must continue to focus on critical growth specifics and will do so using our standard prodecures and strong support base.
Why deter from a route of success just because you feel it isn't good enough.

I mean honestly, I don't even know who you are... never heard from you in the past yet you chime in now without anything important to say?

What will you say now, continue telling us how we are sellouts, and you "boohoo" cannot be our myspace friend?
I am not losing any sleep over life and what I have done with mine... maybe that is what this is all about with you?

Wil

About "bring it all down around me":

Boooooo fucking hooooooo!!!

It's very easy to sit on a computer and bash us for accomplishing more in a year than you have in a fucking lifetime.

What have you done? What do you do big man?

Leave your bitching at blabbermouth. net where bitches like you rejoice and complain like a bunch of babies. "Whaaaaaaaa this band just got signed whhhaaaaaa I'm gonna hate them now whhhhhaaaaaaa I'm so cool because I'm rebelling whhhhaaaaaa selloutsssss".

Dude, check yourself because if you ever came across anyone of us in person, you'd shut the hell up and walk away looking like you have a bad case of the runs.

Anyways that is my rant for today.
Enjoy your evening everybody!

Make sure to check back on Methodical's myspace for major updates as we come closer to the release of our long awaited CD called....um....well....yeah....lol.

I'm in a good mood now.
lol

I love putting bitches in their place....AWWWRIIIIIGHT!!

Hell yea guys, keep it optomistic. In response to the guy that can't get laid and unleashed his pent up frustration on yall I have this to say: Is progression for working and doing what you love selling out? As long as they don't have other people write their music, or change their music for their label, then they aren't selling out. Come back when you have something intelligent to say.
