Corduroy  reformed - but unfortunately it isn't the original line-up.

Acid Jazz myspace say's..

"Lots of people asking us if the band calling themselves Corduroy playing

around London at the moment is the original line-up.

We can categorically state that it is not the original band.

Venues should say this on the advertisements".

Apparently there is a girl on bass-.

And they use backing tracks.

They go by the name Corduroy Industries.

 Definately not the original!!

Also..rumour has it that Richard Searle the bass player from Corduroy played for Mother Earth at a Jazz Cafe show in June 2007....the plot thickens.

Here is a group discussions about this subject -

It definately is NOT the original line up!!!
There is a girl on bass so its pretty obvious.
They might be called Corduroy Industries.
The Jazz Cafe are still advertising it as original but Richard Searle the Bassist is Not appearing.

However.. Mother Earth are playing the Jazz Cafe a week later - Friday 22nd June.
Richard Searle the original bass player from Corduroy WILL be appearing with Mother Earth at this concert.

In my opinion Searle was the best thing about Corduroy. I shall be going to the Mother Earth gig, not the corduroy Industries one.

Thanks for reading my blog.

Richard Searle is an unsung genius - check out Shakes Magoo, Polish Girls, Pasty Shanty and the wonderous Beer Makes You Burp. Humble to a fault and definitely one of life's good guys. Corduroy without Dick D'mage?....like an egg without salt.
