After a past conflict with the moderators at housequake.com, I recieved countless messages and dozens of new 'friends request' from people who saw what was going on, enjoyed my little corner of the planet and mostly was happy that someone had the balls to stand up for themselves with out fear of neing publically attacked or banned for having a view not popular.  It is apparently OK to insult, belittle, make false accusations, gang up on, etc... even if unprovoked... as long as you are part of the 'inner circle' or more so... a moderator.

Apparently respecting people in thier house even in the midst of a full out assualt on all grounds I've just mentioned.... is NOT OK.

Peeps... you are a witness to hypocracy at its finest and what has become a 'totalitarian' way of running a website.  These people have allowed the positive support they had gained in the past and the little favor they have achieved from the Prince camp after the PFU initiative to go to thier heads.  Power has now currupted them completelty.  People were already afraid to express thier true opinons and views on the site with out becoming ostracized.... but now thier jurisdiction apparently covers the rest of the net as well.

They have become what they have fought against.

Months ago when a moderator, Parade, got caught up in a heated debate... she lashed out and told a member to "FUCK OFF".  She contnued to attack other members and lobby insults which commulated in a threads being closed.... only for her to abuse her Mod status to re-open one thread and deliver a very childish, "I know I'm right".

Was there any repercussions for her actions...? We complained to the highest authority at HQ but were told that she acted out of 'frustrations' and was only human.  There were no repercussions for her actions.

So now we have me... who broke NO RULES and flamed NO ONE whose worst crimes was lashing out my frustrations in my personal blog after holding everything in during a full out attack by several mods and members over statements I NEVER SAID OR IMPLIED to begin with.  I was defending myself vs. unprovoked attacks and flat out lies drummed up by others.

But as bad as it seams... what makes it even worst is that when I saw things getting out of control.... I WENT TO PM, as per the rules, to try and peacefully resolve the conflict and keep any further bloodshed (namely mine) out of the public eye.  I stressed that they mis-intepreted what I was saying and my repsonses.  I tried to explain and clarify where there may have been confusion.  Dancelectric responded with something eccletic and continued making the false accusations he drummed up to begin with.... Cateto refused to talk about it in private even though I asked to put past differences aside... and GSH flat out ignored my PM...no response what so ever.

What more could a person do?

And they continued on making personal attacks:

GSH and Turnitup basically called me a liar and hypocrit based on something I never said to begin with.

Cateto reponded publically: "Do not count on me to provide fun by engaging in discussions with self-proclaimed wise people.  I'd rather become member of the Opus Dei than trying to discuss seriously with such kind of people"

If this isn't a flat out insult... I don't know what is.  the words may not have been as straight to the point as 'bitch'... but an insult is an insult.

And then Christer, the organizer of this project who read little of what I actually said and only went by the accusations drummed up, posted this:"Come on, Big Daddy. I don't believe you when you sound intimidated and disappointed on behalf of Prince because of my coversongs. I'm sure you just want to have the same phonecall from Prince as all the people here at Housequake do: "Thanks for supporting me buddy...I want to invite you to Paisley Park as my very best fan-friend. We'll have some cake, and we're gonna talk all night about which of my songs you like the most". But neither you, me or any of my artists will probably ever get that one. Either you like my songs, or you don't. I listened to yours on your website, and I think that all of my 81 songs were way better, but I'm not gonna hassel you with my opinions (more than this one time). Keep on making coversongs in your garage. As long as you enjoy yourself, and follow your American rules, it's cool:-)"

This was insulting and belittleing AND allowed!!!  He not only posted it on HQ... but on The Org as well!!!   And on the Org... where i originally posted the EXACT SAME QUESTION... there was no argueing or twisting of what I asked as it was on HQ.... why...?  No personal vendettas and i AKSED THE QUESTIONS IN A DIRECT AND RESPECTFUL MANNER WITH OUT BASHING ANY ONE. It is interesting to note how one forum with no personal vendettas vs. a person handles the very same questions vs. the board with the vendettas.

Of course on HQ my questions led to attacks by Dancelectric which cascaded into a mess.  Not one of the moderators in the thread sought to calm or at least stay nuetral if they didn't know who started what.... they instead played true to form and instigated the already heated conversation further.

What can a person do in those situations where Private Mail and rational talk are brushed aside in favor of attacks and lies?


Yeah... I lost it and lashed out.  But I did it in my own house instead of disrespecting them in thiers. I didn't realize thier mod jurisdiction reached out to MySapce as well.  But now 'we' know.  Sure I left the blog open for public view... it was a lash out due to my frustrations.  It was the equivalent of going outside and screaming as loud as you can.  I felt talking behind thier backs was not the course and wanted them to know how frustrated I was at these unfair set of events.  If they wanted to discuss this rationally (as they now insist).... my PM was there and they cannot say that I didn't try to do that first because I DID!!! Did i post what I said on HQ...?  no... Parade copied what I said here and posted it there... in the very thread she was telling me to stay on topic about. That act drew what I said more into the public view than intended.  Another rule broken but given a free pass for a moderator. Very few people would have seen what I posted as I didn't think the general HQ public needed to know everything only my actual friedns there who would not have needed to be pointed to my blog....but like I said... Parade is one interesting case.

And I leave you with this bit of hypocracy...
