Yall LA mofos must be lame!!!!  No way this happens in Chi-town.

Apparently for one reason or another... yall just didn't show the love for the Purple guy in Hollywood Sunday night.

Prince's Oscar After Party failed to sell out.   Not like it was a 75,000 seat arena or the tickets were a thousand dollars.  But a small venue concert/party with room for 500 fans... at $100 per failed to sell out!

Come on LA... where the fuck were yall????

Honestly... I do have my speculations about what happened and will post later.  But for now yall deserve the 'mean mugg'

I just really want to know who didn't go and why?

And if you did you ... did you enjoy yourself?

I read pretty good reviews about the show, and there seemed to have been plenty of people, celebs and "regulars".

Sorry HQ, I would've loved to be there, but the economy sucks right now, hours at work is cut to nothing and when mortgage payments are due you have to do the right thing...my priority is a roof over our head, but who knows, maybe I'll get a 2nd. chance down the road...still love Prince like crazy, but my home comes first....

I would have been there in a heart beat, and I might have even paid for one of my broke friends to go.

Prince should have sold the tickets ahead of time instead of counting on people to line up for the chance of buying one. People probably thought they would wait all day and not get a ticket, so they opted to stay home. I want to have the ticket in hand. If I choose to line up all day, let it be for the chance to be front and center. I know how to do that very well, with some of the other NYC fans you know and love..... ; )

Having said all that, I still would have lined up early to buy ticket..... LOL!

Just like I told you in my message earlier...some of us are out of work! I love Prince like crazy but his ass sure as hell ain't gonna take care of me and my child! Trust me, he was only 30 minutes from where I live and it killed me knowing that, but I gotta take care of my son before anything else. In the past when I was employed, trust me...I represented!!! I saw him more than 10 times while I lived in Las Vegas and I traveled out of town to see him.
But times aren't the same unfortunately and seeing Prince has to take a backseat (at least for now)

Needed to add... I really wassn't calling any out about not going to the party. There was a debate on The Org and some trully lame individuals felt that Prince didn't sell out 500 tix because ... basically... no one wanted to see him.

I was one of those who suggested it was more a combination of vague and limted advanced notice, absolute last minute 'public' notice and bad timing as far as the cost. I didn't think too many people could simply drop everything and pop a hundred or two to go to a Prince party just hearing about it a couple hours in advance... on a Sunday night to boot.
(hello people with kids)

I know for a real concert with proper advanced notice on tix prices and sell date... yall could sell out that place where those stupid Lakers and Clippers play in less than an hour.
