Who Gives Kudos:

Tuesday, March 20, 2007
With a heavy heart I have to inform you that Ms. Mina, the creator of this cyber-crypt, known to some of you as Diabolical Bunny, has passed away.

Although she would deserve something infinitely more beautiful, for some reason, the following lines by W. B. Yeats came to my mind.

Suddenly I saw the cold and rook-delighting Heaven
That seemed as though ice burned and was but the more ice,
And thereupon imagination and heart were driven
So wild that every casual thought of that and this
Vanished, and left but memories, that should be out of season
With the hot blood of youth, of love crossed long ago;
And I took all the blame out of all sense and reason,
Until I cried and trembled and rocked to and fro,
Riddled with light. Ah! when the ghost begins to quicken,
Confusion of the death-bed over, is it sent
Out naked on the roads, as the books say, and stricken
By the injustice of the skies for punishment?

Farewell, Mina.

Ike

Thank you Ike, Mina taught me about music beyond my own and had much of Babylon Whores in her studio in California.  It is on the coast of the ocean, she hand painted lyrics to Sol Niger there a year ago. Mina would of thought this Yeats very beautiful.

I feel like a total asshole for not having read this sooner. That's so horrible; she was so fucking young. Christ... I'm so sorry about all of this. I send my deepest regards to her family and to you. =( How tragic... =(

Ike, I am Paul Mina's childhood friend.
I am so sorry I'd not seen this earlier, I've been so overcome with grief lately and mostly unfamiliar with myspace.

Make not one iota less of this offering you've made here to her. It is eloquent, and Mina would of searched for just the right way to thank you for being so thoughtful to have shared such a well chosen bitter sweet elegy and farewell.

Ike, I know first hand that Mina hoped you would never stopped writing. I know she cherished your new found friendship. Condolences to you and thank you for finding Mina in time to call her a friend.

It's been a year now and I still think of her constantly. We miss you, SML :(

Incidentally, it is she who is responsible for my being on Myspace at all, and she had said part of her motivation was to introduce me to you (Ike). Obviously that never ended up happening, but thought I'd say "what's up" anyway.
