I just went to two different friends houses to cook dinner two nights in a row. I forgot how much I enjoyed being in the kitchen. I use to have all girl dinner parties a few years ago. My girlfriends would come over and I would stand in the kitchen barefoot cooking in my pj's. I often made the dinner parties pj mandatory so I wouldn't be the only one. I love being comfortable while I cook. It was an awesome time to have 4 to 8 girlfriends over to cook for and open my wine. It was nice to hang out and have girl time. It seems that so many of us have gone our own ways lately that I think it might be a time in the past now. It is unfortunate because I wish it could of continued on. It will be nice one day to stay in one place and have my own kitchen again to cook in. I really do miss it.

It's always a good feeling to be reminded of something you love doing. You shouldn't give it up.

How many marrige proposals did you get off of this one? I discovered gas-fired barbeque recently when the temperature in San Diego went up to 102F and so it works like a stove except outside.

You never should have sold your place in California.

You have to ask yourself, would you trade your hopping around the world for a few dinner parties? I believe the answer will be very simple.

You should buy a place in California. Prices are good and you have the cash.

Who knows, you might find yourself reducing your travels because you prefer to be at home (your home). Then the cooking for friends/family, gardening etc.. would occur more often, because you would actually be there to do it!

Another option would be to buy a place in Chicago. I would be happy to let you cook for me in your pjs! I still have yet to try your famous lemon chicken! :)

Yeah I love to cook too.. but after my parents died I moved up from Boca & went into a depression & stopped cooking for a while but I know I can't live without cooking every night I like it better than going out to eat even though I should get out more.

What a cool thing to do! I'm missing many things about being home right now. Doing ANYTHING barefoot or in something close to pajamas would be a huge improvement over sweating in the desert right now. Thanks for sharing and painting a very pretty picture in my mind.

i could teach how to cook some new things or well we could exchange recipes, i have special pancakes i invented with a friend because we were bored, we made french toast pancakes it was my idea but we both made the batter, i find cooking with two people helps balance the flavors because if one person cooks it, they cook it their way, but anther person makes you cook it differently and the compromise is suprisngly good, like our english muffins pizzas with red pepper and ricottia, or our seasoned fries me and my friend used to make, i used to walk around my house barefoot, but i like tile because its cold and the wood isnt so i stopped in my new house, and the sad thing is the spice collection dwindled because someone decided to throw them away when we moved, i have to make rice balls for my friends wifes baby shower, so what do you like to cook, i stay more to italian or spanish, i bought stuff to cook chinese but i havent tried yet

I love cooking as well and I used to own a restuarant (till I got colon cancer and had to sell it (when you own a restuarant you're there usually 17+ hours a day)). I think my signature dish and one I love cooking for friends is beef wellington with a nice mushroom risotto. Very nice. Comfort food always reminds us of good times and people we miss, I'm sure you will get to have those times again with your friends, it just takes one person to make the effort and everyone else falls into place. Or in the words of Shoeless Joe Jackson, "If you cook it, they will come." ;)

Sounds like a lot of fun, Aria. In fact, anything with you involved sounds like a lot of fun. Except fighting. I hate fighting.

And this is why you are my favorite model in the whole lovely world. You've got substance kid! Talk about 100% woman. You've got great taste in life. You know what is important. What can be sexier than that? Family, friends, food, wine, travel, music! I can relate to you on soooo many levels so I know what your feeling to an extent. Hell, my friends and I use to have Sunday night dinner. Every week we would take turns on who was cooking and what. Talk about genuine fun. You simply can't beat that feeling of spending time with great people and making them happy through food and laughter. There is this certain warmthness that is embedded in your spirit. And I don't think you can reach that kind of ultimate high unless you know how to truly love yourself and others. Don't fret Aria, you will find your true home someday after your journey beacause you are a woman of love and love has a kitchen filled with will unbelievable aromas and music of laughter. Cheers!

your fan,
becca

Aria, you should totally go vegetarian, though. Vegetarians are so much more awesomer than meat eaters. I'll have to give you this small vegetarian cookbook if you ever do a public appearance again (hint hint).

Nah, I wasn't insulting her (and I'm sure she knows that). She's already awesome, but would be THAT much more awesomer if she were a vegetarian. That's all I was saying.

It does seem to be a fact of life that as years go by we lose touch with people because we all have a different life to live. I used to spend all of my time with my friends, now I hardly see them anymore. Still love em, but they just have lives that are different, and so do I. Best we can do is be there for each other when they need us.

I've enjoyed your photos so much, and totaly forgot about other things that make a woman a true woman.  Most models of your caliber mainly capture us men with your beauty.  But, in reality, women capture us men better with their cooking.  I'm intruiged to hear that you love to cook.  I for one love to cook as well!  Suggestion, why don't you feature some of your cooking on myspace, it would be interesting to see if your cooking can match that of your beauty...
