Category: Life

Sorry it has taken me so long to write.  Life has been busy; more like a whirlwind.  I cannot believe how quickly time passes.  Autumn is already upon us... what happened to September... heck, what happened to summer?!  I must have missed something; I did not even get the chance to do some swimming this summer!  That is such a sad statement.  I have been hard at work, aiming my sights on new goals and hitting them one by one.

If you do not know my father has cancer.  It is aggressive and nasty disease that has attacked his lungs and brain.  According to his doctors, he is in the final stages.  My beloved brother got married a few weeks back to a wonderful girl, and my dad was (for the most part) stuck in a wheel chair.  He did get up and jitterbug and dance to Elvis with my mom; he is a formidable man indeed.  When it comes to cancer beating my dad, or my dad beating this cancer...  I put my money on my old man any day of the week!  Anyhoo... I watched my dad's health decline severely within the span of two weeks, and the UofM had put him in the hospice program.  It is horrible to watch a loved one die of cancer.  Watching them shrivel up, writhing in pain, while the family stands by helpless to do anything.  It is also hard to watch your mom, whom you love deeply, also suffer, but in a completely different way.  I give my mom and my aunt an incredible amount of kudos and admiration for their strength and love.

Are you ready for a miracle?!  IF YOU KNOW SOMEONE WITH CANCER... PLEASE TAKE NOTE!  My dad has found a therapy outside of chemo and radiation.... and NO... it is not something nutty.  My dad has started something called Vitamin C Therapy, also called IVC.  This is not vitamin C in pill form; it is intravenously administered in pharmaceutical dosages.  Up to 100,000 milligrams.  Vitamin C acts on three fronts... first it feeds you (nourishes) and hydrates your body.  Second, it acts as an antioxidant and removes "free radicals" from the body.  (Your urine turns very dark for the first few treatments and eventually returns to a normal color)  Finally, it is a natural cancer fighter and attacks cancer cells immediately and yes, it can destroy entire tumors!  My father went from a wheel chair, to walking up his block and back again without his oxygen.  (Not a smart move on his behalf... but it is an incredible turnabout!)  The night of his first treatment, he kept my mother out until 9:00 at night.  This is a huge turnabout as of late!  Here we are two weeks into this treatment, and my father looks better, his coloring is good, he has more energy, pain has subsided, and yes... no wheelchair has been involved since he started his miracle treatment.  If you are interested in more information, just drop me an e-mail and I will give you resources!

My father's cancer has preoccupied the creative portion of my mind, and I have been dry for months.  Nevertheless, new music is on the way... thanks to newly found inspiration.  Thanks for sticking by me and being my friend through these turbulent times, I appreciate you!  You truly bring me joy!

I am ecstatic that your dads radical treatment is working for him. I heard about it a little bit since my mother in law recently came down with cancer herself. I will have to share the good news with her of your fathers healing. I am happy to hear that he is doing better, and I believe that this event will bring out your best music yet! Keep holding on, you'll make it through! Take care xoxo

Dear Tim, I am glad your dad is doing better. My thoughts are with you. My own mom, 90, is 1500 miles away and I am not in the position to see her a lot, so I actually envy you...you get to see your dad, and help him through this rough time. I pray that his treatment works and that you will have him for many more years. My thoughts are with your mother also...it is never easy to stand by and watch a loved one struggle. Out of this, my friend, may come your best work...music is a healer bar none.
All the best, Jacki
