Heard the Ronson piece last week and LOVED it! Can't wait for the release. I had a chance to listen to the audio for The Atheist's Guide To Christmas just yesterday. I thought Simon was brilliant! I don't know why that man hasn't written a full book yet! I will be buying this book in audio version just to hear that gorgeous voice!

Many kudos to Simon for his contribution to the Guide!  At this point in my life, Christmas is about family - the religion thing went along time ago. In 5th grade Science class when the teacher tried to explain that God created the earth/heavens and all of the animals we see today, I was the *only* kid who raised my hand with the question " So where do dinosaurs and fossils fit into all of that?"  I was abruptly shuushed and never did get an answer.....

According to the Barrymore programme, Simon proclaimed himself as Wiccan or at least of a Wiccan persuasion..WTF?!!! Simon changes his religion as often as his hair dye and his pants size. Scorpios ..go figure...he's a man of mystery to me..still trying to figure out what the hell he is saying in Cracks In The Pavement among other songs.."My head is full of chopstick?" He must have done some serious pot smoking or somethin'

After playing the sound byte. Simon makes some valid points. I wonder when and how and what circumstance(s) caused Simon to lose faith. Was it "Michael" the Michael in "Michael You Have A Lot To Answer For" from the Medazzaland album time or was it further back? or something rather recent? You would think that nearly dying during the Fastnet Race would have made him more spiritual. But I guess if you were on the brink of death once or several times..it could render one fearless, fierce. I think Simon and my former high priest Joe would get along. Joe is agnostic and quite even though he was wiccan/pagan priest back in NYC many years ago.
