Well its that time again, the time children dress in their costumes, put on their mask, and pretend to be something they aren’t. And tomorrow most will return to normal.

But what about the children of the 1960s, 1970s, those that were taken from their mother, and placed with strangers, those that remained the same shuffled among all the other children in group homes, foster homes, and adopted out like cattle, as if they had no one else in the world that cared for them. They have lived their lives under a mask of different names, different towns, and cities, never knowing where they came from, or that they had brothers and sisters. Some were much too young to remember, but for those that were older and do remember, I feel your pain. I know it well. I have two sisters, and four brothers that this very thing happened to, it happened to me as well.

I want you to know that there has not been a day gone by that I don’t wonder where you are, how you are, what might have been, or what could be if ever we should meet. I know along with our ages, and time, there are also memories that fade. But if by chance one day you read this page, I fear that you will not know your given names. Perhaps we have passed on the street, but because of mask put on so long ago, and never removed, our paths may never cross because of their perfect costumes. So I am going to take a chance and tell you here.
