So in my resolve to blog more, I decided that my humble place of employment would be a good place to do it. Seeing as it’s pretty quiet around here, it leaves a lot of time to think about a lot of different things.

Most recently on my mind is a customer I just had. He came in a few minutes after I had just arrived and finished setting up my station. He tossed a check on the counter and told me he wanted to cash it. That’s what you do at a bank. I proceeded to ask him for an ID and he said he didn’t have one. Well sir, when you come to a bank to cash a check, you need to have an ID, especially if no one here has seen you before.

Right away, he turned into a huge douche bag and started giving me a hard time. I said "I’m sorry sir, but in order to cash this, I need to verify it’s you with some sort of ID."

He storms out of the building. Good. I don’t want douche bags in my bank anyway.

The point I’m trying to make is that people are so incredibly selfish, and I hate it. They’re only looking out for number one.

So for one day, I challenge you just to think about yourself a little less because when it comes down to it, you’re really not as cool as you think you are.

You’ll also find that you feel better if you put someone before you.

okay, I’m through preaching. Have a good day everyone.
