_____________________________________________________ Individually, the members of the group have been involved in a range of other projects and community based activities. The following is a brief synopsis of each member's work/experience outside of the Curse ov Dialect project: _________________________________________________________________- • Raceless has been heavily influenced by ethnomusicology, surrealist and Da Da art forms. He was involved in Layers the first Victorian Hip Hop Theatre production staged at the Melbourne Arts Centre, he has conducted various non-profit Hip Hop workshops for Vietnamese and Sudanese refugee children between 2001and 2005 (encouraging them to rap in there own languages), worked for "Living music" hip hop mentorship program for kids from disadvantaged backgrounds (2006). He is also a founding member of Uber Lingua a weekly Music night in Melbourne at a venue called St. Jeromes showcasing Hip Hop and World Music. • Paso Bionic is also a founding member of successful Australian Hip-Hop outfit TZU and has worked with underprivileged young people teaching turntable techniques. His interest in graphic design has led to the establishment of a successful joint business venture Implant Design which is a CD/DVD duplication and design service. He has toured nationally with TZU a band that also achieved high rotation on national radio stations, particularly JJJ. • Vulk Makedonski a founding member of avant-garde Hip Hop group Beta Erko. Formed in 2005 the group has released an album on the Berlin based Quecksilber label. He has appeared theatrically in diatribes at the Melbourne Festival, Pizza on SBS television and, more recently, in a TAC commercial that was seen in cinemas across the country. Outside of his own work his passion is conducting workshops all over Melbourne at secondary schools and community centres, helping youth with music and positive Hip Hop culture. He started this in 2002 and continues today. Volk's skills include acting, singing, rapping, spoken word poetry, abstract theatre dance, beat boxing and multi lingual vocalising. • Atarangi dedicates the majority of his time to the Curse ov Dialect project and solo endeavours. • August the 2nd appeared as a dancer in Cabaret performances (1997-99) and has experience working on and staring in a Bollywood musical (2001).
