According to AFI, these are the 100 greatest movies of all time. I am dissapointed that my favorite film " The Color Purple" didn't make the list. Many people agree that it is one of the best films ever made. It has always benn snubbed by the media. At least Spike Lee made the cut (#95 "Do The Right Thing"). I do believe that African American films have been overlooked. Of the 100 films , Only 2 have African Americans as lead characters ( Spike and "In The Heat Of The Night") and3 others in central supporting roles ("Gone with the Wind" , "Unforgiven" and "Pulp Fiction"). There are no movies with Denzell Washington but 3 with Samuel L. Jackson ( "Pulp Fiction", "Do the Right Thing" and "Goodfellas"). What do you think the list? I have seen 53 of these films.
