Travara is a tiny harbor in West Cork Ireland.
As children we had unlimited freedom here, and as adults, the spectacular view calmed and inspired us.
I have photographed it thousands of times, but just once did I come anywhere close to capturing it tranquility.

Over the last year or more, I began to take an interest in the artwork that comes from a small cottage in Illinois, USA.
Tink and her daughter Haven produce stunning works of art, (Haven created my profile image)

So I asked Tink if she would do me a giant drawing of my photo for my brother's 40th birthday.
She began in December, night after night alone in her art studio dotting with an ink pen.

She constantly updated me on progress, sending photos, asking my opinion, pausing from time to time to calm her hand in an ice pack.
Until finally it was finished.

It seemed to take forever for it to get to Ireland, but when it finally arrived, I realized that what she had created for me was a masterpiece.
A few days later, I presented it to my brother, who was stunned, he also realized what an important piece of art this is.
4 foot by 6 foot it is now framed, and takes pride of place in his home in Cork.

Although seeing it here on computer does not do it justice, I am sure you will agree, it is a beautiful work of art.

Skully.
