So, my week hasn't gone as planned. I was all rallied up to start script writing Monday but then we had a guest over on Sunday/Monday and instead I gave in to my fiance's insistance I start learning Java (to make myself more employable in the long run - there aren't many programming females around here, you see).

But anyway, Tuesday, no guest but I was well liked by recruiters. This was good, my day was going pretty well after several interested phonecallers - then it got THAT much better. I got a job offer! Especially surprised since it was for a company I had an interview with weeks ago. But w00t.

I was grinning madly yesterday, I was bouncing off the walls rather a little. In about a month I should be starting as a beta tester for a local games company. Whilst it might not be ideal to have a month unpaid between now and when I start, it's a good job offer - I get to start in the industry I want to be in, work with very cool equally geeky people and also with a friend who just got one of the other positions there in the same department -  so I'm eagerly waiting the contracts in the post to sign and send back.

This shall mean a month off effectively where I can script write, vid, learn java to my hearts content. A very ace outcome. I have a job! *SQUEE* The elation at repeating that ain't gonna wear off anytime soon. :D
