Just posted two news clips of songs I am working on.

Homecoming
This is inspired by the anticipation of home and family that I get on the plane ride home after traveling.

First Steps
This is inspired by the mixed feelings of pride and loss when we advance and mature. With each new step comes the death of innocence left behind.

Please let me know what you think.
Currently watching:
Jet Li’s Fearless (Unrated Widescreen Edition)
Release date: 19 December, 2006

Love Homecoming. The other one is nice but it cuts off somehow 3/4 of the way. Both pieces should be in the background of a Hallmark Hall of Fame movie (Hallmark channel). They're both so inspiring and apropos. Better yet, would make great backgound sounds to a motion picture film. Well done Grant.

Grant ....
I really love the new songs. As I've said before, I play the c.d. I made of your songs everyday for my kids , some days it plays 5 or 6 times through in the 2 hours the kids sleep. I know your first 6 songs inside and out. I love the depth and emotion and simplicity that you bring to every song , no two are alike . I wish I could hear my life as a song the way you do, it must be so wonderful to sit at the piano and out comes your life.
Well done Grant .... getting closer to an official c.d. ... I can't wait !!

Your musical talent never ceases to amaze me. The way the songs just epitomize the title and tell a story is just...its indescribable. Wonderful works Grant. I really do love them.

You are amazing! Your emotions are so obvious in both of the new songs. Who needs lyrics when what you have to say is displayed prominently in both arrangements. Thank you for sharing your gifts with us. We are the lucky ones!

Well they are both clips, so it isn't the full song. It should be fading off near the end.

one word...AMAZING!!!! when I listened to first steps, i got an idea for a music video. While your playing, you should have your kids and your wife smiling and playing around and slowly fade into you playing on the piano. Also fade into pictures of yalls wedding and first baby pictures. IT WOULD BE AWESOME!!!!

Homecoming was great!! it would be a great song to play when you get home from the long trips of ghost hunting!!

CANT WAIT TO BUY THESE NEW SONGS!!!!!!!!

It was great to see you again this weekend.

Also, let your wife know that the name of the Utah town that we were trying to identify (with German and Swiss architectural influences) is Midway.

Thanks!

Homecoming isn't up there anymore, so I can't comment on that one, but First Steps is emotinally charging. I can hear and feel the pride and loss you are talking about. It's great to find such intensely passionate music. I hope to see First Step for sale soon!

wow, i can't believe anyone could write songs like this all themselves! you have amazing piano skills.  i saw an episode of GH when you played guitar and reanna played violin, and you were pretty good on guitar, too.  hope someday i can get as good on a viola!  a little trouble with first steps, though... couldn't listen to the whole thing.  these songs are great, i've heard all of the ones you have on myspace... i think "Sleep in my Arms" is my favorite.  unfortunately, i can only get them if i buy them! i want them on my mp3 sooo bad!! well, i'll be checkin to see if any more songs are posted!

best of luck with the musical future!
   always,
