Its been one heckuva year, and I felt it might be a good idea to summarize all thats happened.

The Record Of The Week Club turned out waaaay better than anyone could've imagined - especially myself. The CD has just become available and plans for a release party are in the works.

I recorded new albums for the following artists:
Paper Moon
Ian La Rue & The Condor
Todd Hunter
The Other Brothers
Christopher Connelly
The Dingleberries

I mixed Ingrid Gatin's great new album.

I've done various live off the floor sessions, some of which may yet get released:
Patrick Keenan
Jaylene Johnson
Loren Hiebert & Rosemary Siemens

And demo's for:
The Furr
Demetra
Victoria Marshall

I did the sound design and co-wrote the score for Cattle Call which turned heads at Bravo Television, Toronto International Film Festival and is now going to showcase at Sundance! It was directed by Mike Maryniuk and Matthew Rankin of L'Atelier Nationale du Manitoba.

I do a bit of mastering on the side, as well:
The Magnificent Sevens
The Liptonians
Paul Bergman
Demetra

The Liptonians, one of three bands I'm in, won Outstanding Pop Recording at the Western Canadian Music Awards.

I co-produced and performed as Neil Diamond in the West End Cultural Centre's production of The Last Waltz. This was perhaps the most emotional and uplifting event I've ever had the privelage to take part in.

Myself and 12 other close friends performed the entire Dark Side Of The Moon album for the 2nd year in a row. This time we didn't get rained out and packed Old Market Square.

My band Les Jupes wrote and performed a new score (live!) for the classic 1970's animated film Fantastic Planet. It screened at Cinemateque around Hallowe'en.

Phew! Thats a lot of stuff. And its all been awesome.

So what does 2009 look like? Les Jupes are recording a brand spankin' new album with Marcus Paquin (Montreal's Silver Starling). Its gonna be nice to be a musician for once and not have to worry about mics and compressors and EQ!

Ian La Rue's new record is coming out in spring (I play bass for him.) The Liptonians have a couple ideas up their sleeve. So there'll be lots of touring, lots of trying to figure out if and how to do another Record Of The Week Club, and generally lots more fun.
