I'm not playing on the 24th. As it so happens the only work I've got coming up all month is on the 20th and the 24th and it's absolute stupidity to give up money for something that's pretty much been a waste of the last eight years of my life.

That's life sometimes. I figure the first show I manage to book in months also happens to land in the middle of the slowest month all year, and on the only times I'm working instead of any other 28 or so days.

go figure.

Dude, it's not a waste. You produced some music that (I hope) you believe in and you played at least some gigs, which is more than I can say for my own music over a stretch of eight years (but I'm working on it). You'll always have the music itself, so if you've made the music you'd want to make if that was all you could show for it, you did the right thing. Keep your chin up!
