We start rehearsals this week for a new show called Something Got a Hold of Me.
Based on two religious cults, the Branch Davidians in Waco in 1993 and Jonestown in Guyana in 1978, Something Got a Hold of Me is an exploration of power, charisma, weakness, religion and how everyone is really just looking for something, a little something to make them happy.
We're going to be working for three weeks and then showing the fruits of our labour to an invited audience at Bristol Old Vic Studio on Friday 17 October at 7.30pm. If you'd like to attend the showing, email matthew@thespecialguests.co.uk.
We're hoping to post a few updates from our rehearsals here during the next few weeks, so keep it here...
